Recently, I have realized I need to get onto this blog and post, but an extreme case of writers block has been prohibiting me from this duty. I say duty, but the truth is, I like to talk and writing is an extention of talking, right?!?! So anyway, in the past few months I have been introduced to some “new” teas from clients. Yes you heard it, clients. Just when I thought I was THE Tea Lady, I find myself surprised by people who just have a love for the drink.
One of the “teas” I was introduced to is called “Tulsi” tea. It is actually a blend of several types of basil from India. This tisane has been used for over 5,000 years as a healing and energizing tea. Tulsi or Holy Basil is an adaptogenic herb. In other words it is a rejuvenating herb that allows you to deal with stress by helping your body raise its resistance level. This is a benefit to both your immune system and to your whole body, as it helps you to reach homeostasis.
I’ve started today with a big ole cup of it as I have had some stress in the past week or so and anticipate some stress in the next few days. It has a slight basil-y taste, however I find it quite pleasant and am looking forward to continuing to drink this tea. I hope I start to feel the effects soon!!!!
Bee Well. Drink Tupelo Honey Teas.
